THAWING INSTRUCTIONS

THAWING IN YOUR REFRIGERATOR (OVERNIGHT)

The best and recommended method for thawing frozen United Steaks is by simply removing them from your freezer and placing them into your refrigerator for 12-14 hours. Plan ahead and toss them into your fridge while still in their sealed packaging.

Then, take them out and prepare them as you wish!

THAWING IN COLD WATER (QUICK-THAW)

Frozen steaks in vacuum-sealed packaging can actually be quickly thawed. First, make sure your packaging is still in tact and that your steak is in its original vacuum sealed package that it arrived in and that is not punctured or loose (if it is, do not use this steak for a quick thaw method and instead see the refrigerator method described above). Place your frozen United Steaks into a container or sink filled with cold water.

Depending on how many steaks you are thawing and their size, this will generally take anywhere from 15 – 45 minutes.

THAWING NO-NO’S

One of the most important safety precautions is to never thaw United Steaks at room temperature, which allows for rapid bacteria growth and thus, is not advised for any meat products.

FOR THE PERFECT STEAK

After you have safely thawed your steak and you have prepared it with salt and pepper, or your favorite marinade instructions, we recommend letting it sit at room temperature for about 30 to 45 minutes before cooking. If you are storing your steaks in the fridge again after prepping them with marinade or seasoning, you will want to let take them out and let them sit at room temperature for 45 minutes to one hour only. Then, place them on your grill or add to your favorite recipe that calls for steak. The flavor and texture will be perfect with this superb steak tip every time!
